Reflections From Class

While sitting through the presentations I realized that there was more about each topic that I did not know about. I had no idea that it was legal to put radiation in our food. I thought that there was no way the government would allow this. The whole presentation reminded me of the game Fallout. Where you play as someone who grew up underground during the atom bomb. Your character makes it out of the vault that he or she grew up in and travels the waste lands, making sure to keep your radiation levels in check.
I was also surprised at how with the mention of ‘sex’ everyone in the class started to feel uncomfortable. I would say that while having sexual intercourse outside of marriage seems scandalous it is normal and healthy to be sexual active if precautions are met.
I would say that to be healthy means to live life to the fullest, making sure your body is an happy as your spirit. To be healthy you must feel good and act as though you feel good. I know this viewpoint of mine is not blunt, it’s something you really have to think about to understand. Being healthy is not just about what kind of diet you have or how much you exercise. It’s also about how you feel about yourself and how you live through daily life.
The presentations on our argumentative research paper have taught me a lot that I did not already know. I think that because of this class I have a better understanding about health and what exactly it means to be healthy.
