While sitting through the presentations I realized that there was more about each topic that I did not know about. I had no idea that it was legal to put radiation in our food. I thought that there was no way the government would allow this. The whole presentation reminded me of the game Fallout. Where you play as someone who grew up underground during the atom bomb. Your character makes it out of the vault that he or she grew up in and travels the waste lands, making sure to keep your radiation levels in check.
I was also surprised at how with the mention of ‘sex’ everyone in the class started to feel uncomfortable. I would say that while having sexual intercourse outside of marriage seems scandalous it is normal and healthy to be sexual active if precautions are met.
I would say that to be healthy means to live life to the fullest, making sure your body is an happy as your spirit. To be healthy you must feel good and act as though you feel good. I know this viewpoint of mine is not blunt, it’s something you really have to think about to understand. Being healthy is not just about what kind of diet you have or how much you exercise. It’s also about how you feel about yourself and how you live through daily life.
The presentations on our argumentative research paper have taught me a lot that I did not already know. I think that because of this class I have a better understanding about health and what exactly it means to be healthy.

Third Post
1.) Since my topic is about Video Games I am assuming that my audience will be my peers, teachers, parents, and children. I think I will have a broad audience because my topic is current because of the rise of gamers around the world. More and more people are playing Video Games, the percentage of gamers have skyrocketed in the last 10 years. Most gamers are between the ages of 17-32 but 16 and below are finding Video Games more popular now too.
I care about my topic because I am a gamer and I am sick of hearing about how Video Games are supposedly 'bad for you'.
I think high school teachers taught to not write personally in essays to keep from arguments in opinions amongst peers and to teach students how not to be bias. I think college professors want students to be more involved with their essays because that way the student will try harder because it is something that they actually do care about. Caring about a topic will ultimately improve a students writing because they will actually try.
2.) There are only two view points that I have found in my research and they are: people that like Video Games and people that hate Video Games.
3.) I learned that Video Games can help to train your eyes for better night vision.
4.) I commented on Kyle Danzer's second blog assignment. I recommended some research material that may be of use to him during his research.

Interesting Research
An interesting source I have found so far is a M.D. Neurostimulating Blog by Dr. Shock. He lists 5 good reasons why Video Games have an positive affect on the brain: playing action video games can improve visual attention to the periphery of a computer screen, action games can improve adults’ abilities to make fine discriminations among different shades of gray (called contrast sensitivity), which is important for activities such as driving at night, to name a couple.
My question is Are Video Games Good Or Bad For The Brain And Children? So far I am keeping my question the same, my thoughts have not changed.
The only challenge I have faced so far is finding good articles on my subject that include an official author.

My research paper :)
My inquiry is how exactly Video Games affect people in the following areas: Brain growth in children, psychological, socially, and brain activity. I chose this as my topic for my paper because I have been a gaming kid since Play Station came out. I've heard people say that Video Games rot your brain but I never believed it. I've always thought the exact opposite, Video Games can help kids learn and develop in all areas of their academic life. I think my paper will put an end to all of the negative talk about Video Games and help people to think better of gaming.
In the research that I have looked over already (websites, essays, articles, etc) I have found that Video Games can be used as a stimulus for children, there was a study done where kids that played Video Games on a daily bases verses kids that did not play Video Games at all were a little better at school. Video Games helped kids to think more in depth, remember more, and influenced their creativity in a positive way.
The only negative articles I've read had giant holes in their argument and are not scholarly articles.
